TOURIST EXPERIENCE
Open Studio: Walk-in's Welcome, for All Ages

Our creative studio is open for a creative and fun pottery experience where you will have the opportunity to make your very own handmade memory from your time in Madeira from ceramic clay. Try the potter's wheel, hand-build or model whatever you like and we will help you every step of the way.
This activity is suitable for everyone: young, old and in-between, this is great fun for solo travellers, groups of friends or families... whether you consider yourself and artist or have no experience you won’t regret this wonderful activity.

We are there to assist you on your creative foray... With your instructor there to help and guide you, you will create your item either on the wheel or by hand-building with ceramic clay. Thereafter you can paint and decorate your creation using colored engobe ceramic paint, stamps, stencils and other techniques. Your item will air dry for a few days to be safe to handle and we will fire and glaze it in our ceramic kiln for you to take home - whether it is a beautiful vase, bowl, bell or mug... Something for yourself as a special keepsake or maybe even a delightful gift for a loved one.

POTTER'S WHEEL EXPERIENCE

Have you always wanted to try your hand at pottery and give the potter’s wheel a spin? Well, why not join us in studio and come give it a whirl for a once-off wheel throwing session with the option to decorate and paint your piece with engobe “paint” (and have your very own Moore and Swayze moment).
At the beginning of your session, you will touch the clay and we will guide you every step of the way and tell you what each hand and finger needs to do and what to watch out for. We will assist you to control the clay and you will end up with a piece you had a hand in shaping and molding. If you like it, you can join our school and continue with pottery classes of your choice... or you may discover that the wheel is not your "cup of tea" and you'd rather stick to your car’s steering wheel or maybe give hand-building a try.

With your instructor there to help and guide you, you will paint and decorate your semi-finished (bisque) item using beautifully colored Mayco under-glazes (ceramic paint), stamps, stencils and other techniques... and get to take home a beautiful vase, bowl, bell or mug... Our creative studio is open for ceramic painting sessions all day. Get creative and spend an hour with us painting a ready-made bisque ceramic item. Simply choose your item from our selection, and start painting your piece with our special under-glaze “ceramic paints”.
This activity is suitable for everyone: young, old and in-between, this is great fun for groups of friends, families and even corporate team building sessions... whether you consider yourself and artist or have no experience you won’t regret this wonderful activity.

The price includes: the bisque (semi-finished) product, a wide range of colored under-glazes for painting and the assistance of a lecturer in studio. Thereafter the pieces are taken off-site for glazing with a clear transparent glaze (by our expert ceramicist) and fired in our ceramic kiln. BABYSITTING | CHILDCARE

Leave your little ones in our care for a fun, creative pottery activity while you get some time to yourself. Rest easy knowing they are in the hands of our team of experienced babysitters and educators who will ensure your kids are entertained and cared for.
Kids have fun with us getting creative - while you get some hands-free time to grab a cup of coffee or run a few errands...
Children will have the opportunity to express their creativity and work with ceramic clay and model, paint and create a unique pieces to be glazed and fired in our kiln for collection at a later date. Your child will be safe with us until you come to collect them, and they will be happy and proud of the work of art they created.
Our activities are very diverse, they relate to different seasons, holidays, special occasions and other events. Children will learn to use a variety of art and creative materials and learn different techniques.

Priced at 45€ per child for 3 hour sessions

The price includes: Qualified / Experienced child minder, studio time, clay, engobe paints or underglazes, instructor's guidance, bisque firing, clear glaze and second firing in our ceramic kiln by our expert ceramicist for two items. Kids are most welcome to create extra items during their sessions, extra clay and materials are included but additional finished pieces above the 2 included are charged at 5€ per item for glazing and firing.
BIRTHDAY PARTIES | CELEBRATIONS

Want to throw an epic birthday party or have an extra special celebration?
Then why not have a super duper, fun, pottery party!! We come to your venue on location and setup a pottery station where the guests can get creative and make their own special keepsakes.
We are there to assist you every step of the way... we provide all the materials and tools needed along with two instructor to help and guide party-goers to make, paint and decorate their own cool creations. Something special to keep as a reminder of the celebration or a delightful gift for a loved one.
Each party is customized and quoted per event starting at 10 guests, we can accommodate bigger groups and we also offer additional decor and party planning services with a preferred service provider should you like us to take care of all the details.

Priced at 200€ for 10* guests + 5 € per finished item for the firing and glazing of the pieces.

The price includes: Setup on location, we are there for 3 hours with 2x Teachers / instructors, all materials: clay, colour/ paints (engobe) and tools needed as well as transport to and from venue.
